Rendition As Books Weeds
I have read many poetry books throughout the years, but this one will always stay with me. The wisdom clearly displayed on each page--the depth of the words that had me reading each section over and over again--the shining beauty and understanding this author has for life . . . for these reasons (and more) I now cherish this masterpiece. In my room there's a simple shelf where all my dearest books rest, waiting for me to read them again and again. "Weeds" is now on that shelf. What a wonderful book!

A Book About Pulling the Weeds in Your Life! From my review on Amazon.comAs an author myself, I am always intrigued when I read the work of other poets. What an amazing selection of poetry and prose from McGuffy Ann Morris. As I read this collection, I could sense the depth of emotion the writer was experiencing, and I loved the way she was able to convey that through her simple but elegant words. Much of the work touched me at a deep level. I think this collection would be especially helpful toI am someone who never "got" poetry until I started reading this author's blog. She has posted several of her poems on there and I actually understood them and could relate to so much of what she wrote. This book has 50 poems, not about actual weeds, but things in our lives that need to be weeded out. I highly recommend this book to newbies of poetry and anyone that enjoys poetry.
In Weeds, Morris offers us the wisdom of the years shes spent here on this planet we call Earth. It is a wisdom hard won and for that reason treasured. She is both observer and muse. She moves back and forth between the antipodes of lifefrom difficult to glorious. As a reader I saw her struggles as well as her triumphs. And yet, as with all poems that come from the depths of the human experience, I also found myself for she presents the realities of our lifelong journey through time and space,
I am a writer and a reader. When not immersed in words, I am active in animal advocacy and rescue. My musician husband and I have been married for over 36 years. We share our hearts and home with several rescued cats and two rescued Shelties. Love does that.I have read many poetry books throughout the years, but this one will always stay with me.
