Apache Strike Force (Spotless #4.5)
With his nose-mounted sensor, night vision system and 30 mm chain gun, Simon Halder isn’t your average helicopter dad, and when Island, the daughter he thought he had lost, reappears after eight months of captivity, someone’s gonna have to pay.
But since pretty much everyone involved has paid already, there’s only one target left in sight for this attack helicopter… Island’s new boyfriend: the man people just call March.
A companion to book 4 of the Spotless series—Butterfly in Amber—this novella is 24,000 words of gripping hitman versus helicopter dad action, including family reunions, hardcore hovering, veganism, housekeeping, and fatherly love. For your safety, please read the books in order. Because otherwise you’ll get spoiled. Hard.
What a nice surprise! I thought that it was all over, but then I got this nice surprise in my inbox! Fun little follow up with March and Island--and it looks like there is more to come! Yay!
I literally started tearing up a few pages in because these characters hit me right in the feels.I love this wacky series, these adorable characters, this heartmelting romance, this on-point humor My only real complaint is wow, I just want more. Like this epilogue novella is supposed to make me feel complete and satisfied, but I think it just makes me want more of Island and March. Also, I would have loved to find out if Island returns to her old job, gets a new job, or follows March on his job

Before starting: I'm really mad at myself for not knowing, or at least not finding out, that there will be another book after this.Upon finishing 1.5 stars. It says a lot that I've read four full length books and a novella and I'm not willing to read the last book of this series. I wish I'd come to the realization earlier on that this series is not for me, but hey, that's life. As a series, what didn't work for me.1) I don't connect with the h.2) We never heard from the H.3) The abundance of
I received this delightful surprise coda in Camilla Monk's newsletter--and saved it for months, to reward myself for getting a certain amount of work done, but also because I didn't want to leave Island and March for good. (Yes there is rereading, and I've reread all the books, but I want new adventures and surprises!)The quotations at the top of each chapter are as funny as ever, as Island recovers from the yowl last chapter of the previous book, and it's Meet the Parents Time. Only with Island

Amaze ballsI loved this series. What I loved about this series:Humor humor and more quirky humor Likable MCs with funny, quirky traitsThe settings ( I learned a lot about the different countries in the story)Chemistry between MCs AND that there wasnt a lot of sex. (Hate unrealistic, soft porn love scenes that all books seem to be filled with nowadays)Interesting plotAnd of course the hand drawn pics sprinkled-in were just icing on the cake ;)Thank you for an amazing ride!!!!What a nice surprise! I thought that it was all over, but then I got this nice surprise in my inbox! Fun little follow up with March and Island--and it looks like there is more to come! Yay!
