This is an autobiography of an Army officer who was injured in Iraq, resulting in complete blindness and his journey through this process. The story is inspiring, but I question how applicable it would be for the general reader: Scotty faced unimaginable lows and overcame them. Much of this is because of the people he came to know along the journey; those of us who dont have that kind of support system will have a much more difficult time overcoming obstacles in life.
