Anthony Serafini is a professor of philosophy at Centenary College. In addition to a PhD in Philosophy, he has a degree in Biology. He has also run a business for several years, has worked as a newspaper editor, and has taught journalism at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His published essays and articles have appeared in professional journals as well asmagazinessuch as Omni and Science.

Whew ...Serafini goes after Linus Pauling like a Terminator, as he is well-known for doing. He rips his career to shreads especially the vitamin C business. Still I did enjoy the book. The best part was his treament of Pauling's work on the chemical bond and the famous race to discover the structure of DNA. The book has angered a lot of scientists though.
