Evaluation Regarding Books Happy Marriage ?!, tome 8 (Happy Marriage?! #8)

In order to help her father out of debt, Chiwa agrees to an arranged marriage with Hokuto, the president of the company she works at.I liked this volume more than the last. It was less melodrama and more drama. When Hokuto and Chiwa fought, it was about more serious things (view spoiler)[like Chiwa's stalker (hide spoiler)]. I don't know. It seems as though their relationship also changed and grew a little in this volume (and apparently they've been married for three years, what?). Chiwa is so

Volume 8 may be my least favorite so far of the "Happy Marriage?!" series. Chiwa pushes in a way that annoys and Hokuto does his level best to be just as annoying. The saving graces though are Asahina, Chiwa's college boyfriend who is now her boss; the always awesome but so under-utilized Soma, the personal assistant extraordinaire; and the scene with Hokuto and his father at the hospital.There is also more progression in the mystery of Hokuto's mother's death which adds some intrigue.

Dear Chiwa. HE SLAPPED YOU IN THE FACE! HE CALLED YOU STUPID! HE BLAMED YOU FOR GETTING ATTACKED BY ANOTHER DUDE. YOU WERE A VICTIM. THIS ISN'T LOVE. THIS IS ABUSE.EVEN YOUR EX BOYFRIEND POINTS THIS OUT AFTER WITNESSING IT.

Slapping her again because she didn't tell him about the stalker. I know Hokuto is afraid that something bad would have happened with Chiwa but he didn't have to do "that". And Chiwa also didn't say anything about it and just let him do that. WHAT?! Minus one star.
