I really enjoyed reading this book. Jesse was a heartbreaking character. The tragedies she has suffered are more than most people could ever live through. As more of her story is revealed you see the person she has become to be able to deal with all the hurt and pain in her life. In most of the book you see that Jesse is really just a shell of a person. She is just existing not surviving and not living. She is in a comfortable relationship with a man, Charlie that does not expect much from her.

I received this as an ARR from the author. Actual rating is 4 1/2 stars, but it was so close to 5 that I went with it. This was a seriously intense book that I had difficulty putting down. The reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was that, for me, it was very difficult at first to follow the story the way it was written. As I went along I started to get more familiar with the style and it wasn't so bad. The story is written as if the person writing it already knows what happened, almost

Both characters havea troubled past and the amount of emotion that comes off the pages is unreal. The story was short and with this being the first book apart of the Drifters series and my first book from Susan Rodgers I'm interested in seeing what else she comes out with. **was sent an ebook in exchange for an honest review**

what a great story, kept me reading right until the very end. will start reading book 2 this week, can hardly wait for the rest of them !

I got a copy if this book as an ARC!! It was hard for me to start and get through, however I did enjoy reading it and definitely want to read the next in the series!!!!

ARR from Fifty Shades Support GroupLittle hard to read at first, but once you get used to Susans writing style it gets easier and the book just flows like poetry. This book is filled with loss, heartache, a full 360 of emotions. A box of tissues close by is a must have! Shows you the healing power of music and the escape it gives you. Looking forward to the next book!!
